Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be home for my session?

No! We can come to your home even if you are unavailable. Simply provide instructions on how to enter your home, or have someone else present to let us in. We do ask that you have everything ready for staging, hiding any items you don't want to appear in your showcase. Please also turn on light fixtures and send your pets to stay with a friend during your imaging session.

How long does a session take?

Typically a our sessions take about 20 minutes for every 1000 square feet if if everything is ready to go on arrival. These estimates include our prep time before recording your space. Imaging time may vary depending on the complexity of the floor plan.

After recording how long will it take for me to receive my content?

Generally your content will be available for upload by the end of the following day. You will be sent an email with links to your showcase, along with any additional media.

How will my square footage be determined?

In the "book a session" area you will be asked for your square footage. If you are uncertain, we will try to help determine your square footage by researching the MLS and county records database. Your "legal" square footage does not always include your basement, especially for unfinshed basements. Sometimes a finished basement may not be registered in your legal square footage because it may have been finished without a building permit. You may opt to omit the basement altogether, along with other areas of your home to save on additional square footage pricing. Final square footage pricing will be determined on site before imaging takes place.

How do I access my content?

Once your space has been imaged and is ready to show the public, you will receive both a URL link and an embeddable HTML code you can add to almost any website. In addition, your 3D imaging will automatically be placed on Realtor.com! You can also find more information about displaying your content here. You will be provided a Dropbox folder link with several watermarked still shots to choose from. Once you have chosen your favorite photos, we will "unlock" the ones you chose and make them available for download. In addition, if you purchased a schematic floor plan, it will appear in your folder as both a .PDF and .PNG file. If you need assistance, let us know! We are more than happy to help you maximize your content exposure!

How should I prepare my space for imaging?

Be sure to have everything ready to go for the arrival of your 3D imaging specialist. It never hurts to hide unsightly items and put out a little exta decor for your imaging! Check out our Preparing Your Space page for more information.

How does payment and pricing work?

Upon scheduling an appointment, we will ask various questions to provide you with a quote for your services. Our pricing is based on all information provided, including additional square footage and add-on options. Once we arrive at your location, we will assess all information and provide a final price. Payment will be taken on-site after imaging. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. If you are unable to be present during imaging we can also send an invoice to collect payment online. Should you choose to add additional options after initial imaging, such as schematic floor plans or extra photographs, we will invoice you for those separately.

Does View My Space guarantee my service?

We will ensure that you are 100% satisfied with your service. If imaging quality is not to your satisfaction we will work with you to address your concerns, and in some cases re-image your location or provide a refund. We do ask that you alert us of any concerns as soon as they arise. As always, we will provide you with support for the full duration of hosting. Please see our Terms of Service for more information.

How far will View My Space travel for imaging sessions?

We travel up to 150 miles from the 60606 (Chicago Loop) zip code. The first 35 miles are included in our pricing. Additional miles are $1.25 each thereafter. Locations outside the first 35 mile service area may have special scheduling requirements. We may travel beyond our 150 mile service area for large or special request projects - contact us for more details!
